Reflecting on Our Roots: How Adler's Design Center & Hardware Became a Providence Landmark
Adler’s Design Center & Hardware has been a Providence, Rhode Island landmark for decades. Originally starting out in 1919 as an Army-Navy surplus store, they added traditional hardware to their inventory after WWII.
In the early 1960’s, Adler’s expanded their hardware department to meet the growing demand of the community and with each passing decade kept growing with the additions of the paint department and design center. Third generation co-owners, Harry and Marc Adler, reflect on their experiences growing up in the family business and talk about what Adler’s mission has always been.
